Audi RS6 History

The AUDI RS6 was presented to in the middle of 2002 on basis of the AUDI A6 4B. Starting from April 2004 there was only the AUDI RS6 plus, whose production was limited on 999 vehicles.

The most salient differences to the normal AUDI A6 4B are:

* broader fenders
* changed optics front and tail bumper
* oval exhaust final pipes (double-flow)
* matt aluminum outside mirror polished
* standard 18-Zoll-Felgen (optional 19-Zoll)

The limited RS6 plus was available only as Avant and had in relation to the normal variant in series:

* also exhaust final ears black-anodized a sport exhaust system
* flat black external optics
(only the outside mirrors are black in aluminum optics, all other chrome parts)
* punched brake disks
* 19 inc whells

When the new model of the RS6 is to be presented, is so far not yet exactly well-known. Unclear is likewise exact motorizing. A similar V10 as that of the current S6 will serve as engine. By which technology (turbo-loading, high speed concept) an achievement is to be obtained by over 520 HP, is not well-known yet.
